On our way to Endeavor, in one of our business vans, we got t-boned by a person who ran a red light. It was surreal. George and I walked away with bruises and a little soreness but nothing more. There were so many miracles I cannot even begin to list them. Thank goodness that just three weeks ago we reconnected with old friends from Portland who moved to Olympia almost 20 years ago. They showed up at the accident site with bags of ice and ibuprofen in hand and even loaned us a car for the week. Thanks Jeff & Tami Bair, we love you. Now life goes on as planned, thankfully, as that is not usually the case after an accident like this.

Next week we move onto the boat for 4 months, to begin our adventure in Puget Sound, the San Juan Islands, and British Columbia. I cannot believe this is real. We don't have a hard deadline to leave the dock but we do need to be in Bellingham, Washington, by June 5th for a haul out and so that I can fly to Utah for my 40th high school reunion. What!?! Geo will stay on Endeavor to work on a few projects while I am gone for the weekend.

In the back of my head I sometimes have this little voice saying, "40th high school reunion? Aren't you too old to be just starting this sailing stuff?" And that voice has a point as life was good, and stable, and pretty darn easy. But I have to tell you, I have stopped feeling old. I mean my body, not so much, but mentally I feel stronger and more capable than I have in years. That is what I love about this crazy 'Endeavor'.
